something for the search engines.
I’d just like to alert all search engines and their mighty crawling robots to register a small warning to anyone who’s searching for a dentist in east London.
Subject: Wanda Lissowska at Dentessential 75 Curtain Road, Shoreditch, Borough of Hackney, London, EC2A 3BS.
Outline: The warning is based on a visit I took last week to the clinic to sort out severe (se·vere: very great, intense) tooth pain. She x-rayed and did a regular check without finding anything out of the ordinary. She thought it could be that the filling was too big, so every time I bit, the filling aggravated the nerve (the tooth’s pulp tissue). She polished a bit on the filling and told me to give it three days.
A few days later I visited an emergency dental clinic.
The pain was caused by the fact that the old filling had managed to infect the tooth’s pulp tissue and had killed the tooth. The dentist at the emergency clinic didn’t even need to x-ray me to determine that. What I needed was a root canal treatment and not three more days of pain.
I’m no professional ‘dentist critic’ - so forgive me if I’m being harsh and out of line in my judgment - but I do live under/with the impression that a dentist - good or bad - should be able to determent if a tooth is dead or alive. Especially if the client directs them to the exact tooth that seem to cause the sever pain.
NOTE: The warning doesn’t include all dentists at Dentessential. I have many colleges and friends who are very pleased with other dentists at this clinic.

Interesting Nico, I’ve found her to be extremely cursory and uninterested in the past, and was thinking of changing to the other guy. Glad to know I’m not the only one, but sorry to hear about your trouble with this!
I had problems with her too, i don’t trust her and i found her very patronizing with no interest on the patient at all.
I googled her as I went to see her yesterday. It left me so traumatised I felt motivated to look into it and thought I would leave you a comment.
I had an initial appointment where I like Igor and Isa, found her uninterested and unapproachable. I went for two fillings and ended up having a root canal filling. She didn’t wait for the anaesthetic to work before she started drilling into the tooth - I was in so much agony, I couldn’t say anything. My mouth was wrenched open for 20 minutes which hurt and gave me a sick feeling. I got the sense that she was doing something other than a filling as she kept talking about the root, but I never got a chance to ask her and never did she tell me what she was doing.
I was so shellshocked by the end of it, I only asked the nurse who took an x-ray what she had done which is when I found out I had a root canal done. Now I have really sensitive teeth and a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and cannot floss between the teeth that were treated.
I am now worried that I have to go back to sort them out, but feel like I would rather have my teeth pulled out (!) than go back again.
I too have had almost an identical problem with this dentists, she is absolutely atrocious- you have the option to demand she pays for all consequential treatment you require due to her negligent treatment.
